Labuan Bajo, Monday, July 14, 2025 – eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic has once again strengthened its collaboration with various local stakeholders by signing a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) for the implementation of two strategic programs: the West Manggarai Regency Visitor Exit Survey and the Partnership Ecosystem Program (Ekosmira).
The signing of this cooperation agreement took place at the eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic Campus and was attended by representatives from the West Manggarai Regency Office of Tourism, Creative Economy, and Culture, the Cunca Plias Community-Based Tourism Group, and SMKN 1 Labuan Bajo.
This collaboration aims to support the development of sustainable tourism and strengthen the vocational partnership ecosystem through:
- Conducting exit surveys of tourists at premier destinations,
- Strengthening the capacity of local communities through collaboration with tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis),
- Increasing the involvement of vocational education institutions in applied research and community empowerment.
Commodus, Director of eLBajo Polytechnic, stated that this initiative is a concrete manifestation of the vocational college’s commitment to directly addressing the needs of industry and the community. “Through this cross-sector collaboration, we hope that the research findings can be optimally utilized to improve the quality of tourism services and empower local communities,” he said.
