Labuan Bajo, November 13, 2024 — eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic (PLC), in collaboration with the bottled water producer PT. Primavera Rio Caritate (PRC), extended a helping hand to victims of the Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki eruption by sending a team of students and faculty members to provide direct assistance at the evacuation center. This initiative is part of a humanitarian program titled “PLC Cares for Lewotobi,” which aims to help those affected by the disaster and ease their burden.
The PLC team brought various forms of aid, including food, clothing, and other basic necessities needed by the refugees at the shelter. In addition to material aid, the PLC team also provided moral and psychosocial support to the victims—especially children and the elderly—to help them recover amid these difficult circumstances.
The Director of eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic, Prof. Dr. I Nengah Dasi Astawa, M.Si., stated that this program is a tangible expression of PLC’s commitment to humanitarian values and social responsibility, particularly toward communities affected by disasters. “We hope this aid can help meet the basic needs of the victims and give them the strength to face the challenges ahead. eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic is committed to continuing to be there for the community when they need us,” he said.
Through this initiative, eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic invites everyone—both the general public and relevant stakeholders—to participate in efforts to ease the burden on our brothers and sisters in Gunung Lewotobi. Every form of support is invaluable in helping them recover.
Let’s work together to provide aid and ease the burden on our brothers and sisters affected by the Mount Lewotobi disaster. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a huge difference in helping them get through this difficult time. Come on, let’s join hands and show our support!
