Labuan Bajo, March 18, 2025 – In order to improve the quality and relevance of its vision and mission in line with industry developments, eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic (PLC) held a Vision and Mission Evaluation and Alignment Workshop. This event aimed to align the institution’s development direction with the ever-evolving needs of the workforce.
This workshop brought together various stakeholders, including representatives from Ayana Komodo Resort, the Komodo Dive Operators Collaboration (DOCK), the Telkomsel Flores Area Branch, Luwansa Beach Resort, Bank BRI Labuan Bajo Branch, Ta’aktana Luxury Collection Resort & Spa Labuan Bajo, the West Manggarai Regency Department of Tourism, Creative Economy, and Culture, the Indonesian Travel Agents Association (ASITA), and the Ruteng Tax Office. Through constructive discussions, it is hoped that the input provided will strengthen PLC’s development strategy so that it can better adapt to the challenges and opportunities of the digital age and globalization.
In his opening remarks, PLC Director Prof. Dr. I Nengah Dasi Astawa, M.Si., stated that this initiative is a strategic step to ensure that PLC graduates possess competencies that meet industry standards. “We want to ensure that every graduate of the eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic not only possesses outstanding technical skills but is also able to adapt to the dynamic changes in the industry,” he said.
This initiative also demonstrates PLC’s commitment to developing high-quality vocational education that aligns with the needs of the professional workforce and supports regional and national economic development.
With the evaluation and refinement of this vision and mission, it is hoped that PLC will be even better equipped to produce graduates who are competitive, innovative, and ready to face the challenges of the workforce.
